Description: The ideal candidate must possess: a strong

communication skills. Developing uncertainty budgets from calibration
and test data for individual M&TE as well as entire systems is the
core task for this individual.
Position
Function Responsibility Is To:

Review calibration reports,
-
Analyze data from "Type A" studies and incorporate the results in the measurement uncertainties,
-
Calculate measurement uncertainty from hand-held test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) to complete testing systems.
Skills/Abilities Required:
-
Apply basic statistical tools and algebraic concepts in Microsoft Excel
-
Estimate measurement uncertainty using the GUM method
-
Identify, analyze and document measurement system errors and factors contributing to measurement uncertainty
-
Focus on detail and goals
-
Work independently
-
Self-starter
Education/Experience Required
-
High school graduate with some technical college, preferred
-
Completed Military PMEL course, preferred
-
8 years minimum of multi-discipline calibration experience
-
1 - 2 years of measurement uncertainty analysis
-
1 - 2 years experience calibrating and evaluating test systems
-
Functional knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z-540-1 requirements
